“Love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates”.
In order for children to learn what it means to be part of the body of Christ, we (the church body) need to recognize that children are a vital part of the church today.
Children are the legacy and heritage of the church. We as a body need to invest our time and resources to minister to them at their level.
The primary responsibility for training Christian children lies within the family. However, the CE Ministry serves to reinforce and provide training and spiritual support for parents and the family unit.
The CE Ministry supports its teachers and youth leaders by providing them the resources to teach. The CE Ministry and Elders will provide spiritual support and prayer for each invidual serving in this ministry.
The CE Ministry serves to guide each child (infants to 18 year olds) towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through classroom instruction, mentorship relationships, prayer and encouragement.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ~ Matthew 19:14
Offered during the sermon portion of the Sunday Worship service, the nursery program will provide caring adults who will watch over children ages infant to 2 years old through play, music and loving care.
